What exactly would you like to know? When built? Last sold? Other details.

If you can be more specific, I *may* be able to help.

My niece just moved into this old house with her family and it is
haunted. I was wondering what the history of the house is - who lived
there - who died there - who might be haunting the house. So far it
is a harmless entity. I was wondering if I knew how to go about
researching the past residents and their history perhaps I could make
sense out of what is happening in this house. An old woman used to
live in it before my neice bought it. It was called Hobart Antiques -
that's all I know about it.
Thank you - if you need any further info, please let me know. I
appreciate your help. Mrs. Gail F. Fahy

I think the rational answer would be that no one is haunting the house
since there is no such real phenomena as a "haunted house."

While jonmm is probably correct; haunted houses remain a possibility. Neil

Hello:

Malcolm Stearns, Jr., appraiser and specialist in early silver, owned
and operated The Hobart House in Haddam, Connecticut since 1966.
Malcolm (Sandy) Stearns, Jr. died on August 1, 1998, while on vacation
on Fire Island, New York. He was 80 and left a wife and five
daughters. Stearns dealt in silver, and his concern, Hobart House, was
one of the most respected in America.
