would like a tool that would help me create a plan, like a business
plan, to help raise my child. it could be very long term, e.g., from
young age to adulthood. but customizable to allow for the uniqueness
of each child.

would not mind finding a book or manual but ideally software, like
bizplan software, would be great.

will add up to 75 more bucks in bonus if you're my hero.

Hi holguinero,

I've been a full-time stay at home mother since just before my eldest
was born. Alexander will be eleven in June, and his little brother,
Ernest, will be seven years old on Easter Sunday. I went to college
to college to become a teacher, and put it all to use at home with my
boys instead.

From one parent to another: There's no such thing as a business plan
for raising children. Even if there were a hard and fast plan,
there's no way you could stick to it.

Children are individual people, with minds and needs all their own,
and if you've ever parented a toddler, you already know that when it
comes to children, nothing EVER goes according to plan.

If you're looking for practical goal setting and tricks for coping
with the various ages and stages, including their education, I'd be
glad to help. But there is no "plan"...all you can do is set your
(flexible!) goals, and try to get there as best as you can without
making a muddle of things.

I have not found any all-encompassing answer to the planning of
child-rearing. Here is some software that may be of use from infancy
through the toddler years:

"This parenting software is an extremely easy to use parenting tool
with accurate and comprehensive information written by a Childcare
owner of 10 years now a Senior Governmental Childcare lecturer in the
industry. The advantages over traditional Parenting Books and
Parenting Videos are:

- save time and money with parenting education
- better suit current hectic family lifestyles
- answer specific problems directly and instantly
- better education regarding raising infants and children
- allow parents more quality time with their children
- create stability in the household
- extremely user friendly
- receive parenting tips in seconds
- answers to problems in a few clicks of a mouse
- keep a record of your infants or child age milestones"

And here is a book that sounds as if it might be helpful in
formulating a plan:

"Life Teachings: Raising a Child shows you the twenty abstract
attributes that formed the author's parenting game plan. Then, each
chapter shows you how the game plan played in her family. You'll
smile, you'll be charmed and you'll be surprised as you read and find
your thoughts playing with your child's possibilities."
