Kemlo claims that he's under 18 and he can only go on-line with his
mother's approval ...

Knowitall22 claims that he heard a joke in the late 1930's ...

I wonder who would claim to be the oldest and the youngest users of
this service?

Beware ... there are some fibbers around.

Me? I'm 40 but I'm often taken for being older because, being an
actor, I sometimes have to make up to play an older part.

Dear Mr Brosnan,

As always, it is fun to answer your questions. Age is only in our
mind. Biologically and practically, Google Answer Researchers do not
exist (see your own conclusion: "Perhaps, it's just the world's most
sophisticated computer that's been programmed to answer the
questions", ; and Michael's upholding: "Are you SURE you're not all
virtual researchers? You've passed the Turing test, anyway, even if
the program reputed to be Pierce Brosnan hasn't."
http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=184280). We
are all fragments of your imagination, or should I say, Q's
imagination. We are intended to be activated in case the shooting pen
and the flying Mercedes would not do the trick. Then, when Kurt Jahnke
would jump from the shadows, trying to attack our good old Pierce, we
will start baffling him with our answers. Jahnke wouldn't stand a
chance. It is not a well known story, but actually Saddam tried to
hire two Google Answer Researchers to be his doubles. Alas, he was
only willing to pay for the fake moustache, not for the flight. Does
he really expect us virtual beings to just appear in Iraq out of the
blue?

Since we are all virtual beings, are age is between almost one year
(var-ga answered a question in April 2002, and might have been one of
the first GARs to appear) to, theoretically, a second (the management
might be creating one as we speak). With your experience as a father,
you should know that one year olds are charming - as long as they
don't wake up at nights.

In admiration,

Oh dear, this is one of those occasions when I wish that there were
more stars in the Universe.

I wonder if a more powerful telescope would help?

I'm sorry that I don't have the time right now but I have just been
summonsed to Baghdad - wherever that is - it seems that they need my
presence.

Kindest regards

Mr B

Hi probo. - - I know exactly what you mean about using makeup to look
older. I use makeup to make me look 58. Last year I used makeup to
make me look 57. It is a real pain having to adjust my makeup annualy
in order to pass when you consider I'm only 12 and a half.

Hi, Digs & TB

I have been very crafty.

When I was younger, I added 20 years to my age ... Well you do, don't
you?

But now that I've knocked them off, nobody believes me, especially my
daughters who reckon that I can't possibly be the same age as them.

Also, when I go out with a daughter, I sometimes get disapproving
looks, like 'Look at him ... He's old enough to be her father'

Bryan --

I answered a question on radio set ownership in New York in 1938 and
neilzero added a great comment that would indicate that he was at
least 10 years old at that time:

Hi, Omnivorous,

Many thanks for your comment.

And many thanks also for your fix on Neilzero.

It's scary how you Researchers can dig out the dirt on anybody, well
almost anybody ... I have taken extreme measures to hide my own
identity ... including a firewall all around my house.

Oh, my word, do I smell burning?

I am 75 years old and I know of computer users older than I. This is
not to say we are highly proficient, but we do use the Internet and
other computer features. I have used a computer for seven years and am
comfortable with it.
If anything, I waste too much time on it. I surmise there must be some
users in their 90s.

I may be a researcher but I have no clue who TB is.

"Hi, Digs & TB"

Now, if you can said "TL" I'd know you were referring to tlspiegel.

Hi omni; I was age 6 in 1938, but even then I was interested in how
things were earlier in that century, so I began picking the brains of
older relatives and friends of my parents. Typically they were
flattered that a little kid was interested in their youth. I often
don't remember what I did an hour ago, but some details of those
century ago events are still fresh in my mind. Neil
