Want to find what make of car it is that had NSW, Australia, licence
plate 188-929 approximately 1935 - car is quite large,
probably American make, convertible, with running board.

Just guessing wildly here - do you have a photo of it?
Could you post it somewhere?  Ot might be easily recognisable to any
vintage car expert.  Might be easier than finding really old
registration records.

Just a wild guess ... but I used to own a 1935 Chrysler that answered
your description.

Most American cars of this period had similar bodies, only a good view
of the radiator might identify it.
