This is my first time asking questions on Google. I hope it's ok that I have five questions, all related to developing a new job/career related website. The following questions are specific to the development of a Canadian job search site. 1. What are Canada's top 10 job/career related websites in terms of daily (or monthly, etc.) unique visitors? 2. What are the monthly unique visitor stats for each of these top Canadian job sites? 3. Where can I find (free or fee-based) job/career related content for a new Canadian job site? I am thinking of content such as job descriptions, salary, industry outlook, personality/career suitability tests, etc. 4. What are the names of 4-6 companies that can provide a newly-developed career/job site with Canadian job listings (using, for instance, an XML feed?) 5. Will the HRDC (Canadian government website) allow me to "spider" their database, incorporating their job postings (reformatted) to display on a job site (or do they provide a standardized, alternative means for programmers to access their updated job data?) |

Hi, Netbus! I'm glad you found us, and I hope that you're successful in finding the information you need. Between school and preparing to move, I've got little time to put into researching this, but I'll see what I can turn up. FYI, it's usually best to break up a multipart question. Five $10 questions will typically be answered more quickly and thoroughly than one multipart $50 questioni. Many times a given researcher will only be able to deal with one part of your question; if you break it up you're improving your odds. I hope this helps! -Chromedome |
