I am trying to find out, or rather verify the fact that Chief Justice Edward Douglas White, had facial hair before he died in 1921. I have a portrait of him done by Ms. Marie DeFord Keller that the Library of Congress is interested in but ONLY if I can find a way to prove that he had facial hair as is painted in the portrait. I thought that perhaps I could find a surviving member of his family that might have an old picture of him right before he died...the painting is getting old and beginning to crack, and I would like to find a buyer for it who would appreciate it before it is to badly damaged...PLEASE HELP |

I have contacted an organization in the area where Chief Justice White was from; perhaps it will have the answer. I will let you know if I receive a reply. |
