I live in Oakland, CA. I am interested in knowing of reputable
miniature poodle breeders who currently--or sometime in the next 6
months--will have miniature poodles for sale. I am willing to travel
some distance within California, but am not interested in having an
animal shipped from another part of the country. Can you help?

Here are some breeders of Miniature Poodles in California, and other
resources I thought you might be interested in.
I have tried to select ones that offer health guarantees, or other
services that require extra effort on their part, which I think tends
to show quality, care, and professionalism when it comes to dog
breeders. Although I have not had any experience with miniature poodle
breeders, I have had quite a bit of experience with breeders of other
types. One of the key things I always looked for in a reputable
breeder was their making new owners put a deposit down, or signing
some sort of spay/nueter contract. Most pups that are for sale out
there are of "pet quality", and should not be bred carelessly. You
will know if a pup is show quality, because you will be paying the
extra bucks for it, or the breeder will tell you if the puppy has show
potential.
