Hi there and thanks for asking your question.

I'm a little confused as to your exact need. Would you like to know:

a) if a commercial website is operating illegally?

-or-

b) if the company behind a website is operating other (illegal)
commercial activities?

-or-

c) something else?

Hello jumpingjoe-ga and please note that as asked by you I want to
know that how can a person come to know that if a commercial website
is operating 'illegally or legally' and that the 'photos and
information' shown in that website are also 'original' and those
photos and information should not be fakes? Please provide
clarification of that statement. Thanks for your help.

If you are trying to check the validity of a web company located in
the us/canada. I would suggest using the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
You can search for current listings in their database, or request a
new search.

BBB.org ( http://search.bbb.org/search.html )
