any researcher may answer who participated in this granny experiment: http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=173534 well, today's little annoyance du jour is that granny was settling down to her usual bag of Starburst sour candy that helps with her saliva production. lo and behold, the Mars Candy Company has done the 'ol switcharoo. granny wanted the sour kind -- the ones with green apple, strawberry, lemon etc. and she got tropical fruit with kiwi, watermelon, mango. yuk, these things are *nasty*! this is not granny's mistake as you can plainly see from this website: http://www.theonlinecandyshop.com/sourcecodes/HARDCANDYSECTION/item.jhtml?UCIDs=791385%7C1009374&PRID=594461 http://www.theonlinecandyshop.com/sourcecodes/HARDCANDYSECTION/item.jhtml?UCIDs=791385%7C1009374&PRID=594467 the "original" version comes in a yellow package; "tropical" comes in a green one. well, granny's "tropical" came in a *yellow* package so she was obviously duped. I called the Mars Candy Hotline at 1-800-551-0683 and the kind lady is going to send me some cents-off coupons. whooptydangdangdoo. granny's still pissed. do you think this is a bait-and-switch ploy or a product packaging snafu? how often does this kind of thing happen? Mars candy buyers beware! grrrgranny |
