Susan276...

Thanks for your question. Sounds like you are in for a wonderful trip
to Italy. All trains from Pisa to Monteriggioni stop in Empoli and
depending on what time you leave (there are trains leaving throughout
the day from the Pisa Station) the trip should take anywhere from an
hour and a half to two hours. You can visit the Italian Railways
(Trenitalia) website at http://www.fs-on-line.com/home/en/index.html
and put in various times to determine which would best fit within your
schedule to determine what time you want to leave and what time you
can expect to arrive in Monteriggioni. Remember, the European time
will be in the 24-hour format, therefore if you wanted to see what
trains were leaving at 2:00 PM, you would enter 17:00 in the Time
fields. Also, you will need to use the Italian spelling
(Monteriggioni) to get the schedule.

Thanks again for your question, enjoy your trip and if you need any
additional clarification, please let me know prior to rating my
answer.

Thank you for your extremely quick response.
I do have questions related to my question and your answer.
1. Under comments: It says small but important - what am I missing?
                     What is the comment?
2. The train schedule doesn't show a search button (that I can find)
so I'm not accessing any information. I'm trying to find out if
there's a a train that leaves Pisa at about noon and when it gets
into Monteriggioni.
3. So the train stops in Empoli? Do I need to change trains? Is
that the only stop?
Thank you for any clarification. Susan

Susan...

1. The comment referred to the fact that I blew it on the 24 hour
clock. 2:00 PM is 14:00, not 17:00. For PM, simply add 12 to the
time you want to depart, i.e., 5:00 PM would be 17:00 and 5:00 AM
would be 5:00.

2. There are trains leaving the Pisa station as follows:

Train Number 3110:
Departs Pisa 11:18 AM.
Stops in Pontedera-Casciana Terme then arrives Empoli 11:49. You will
then change to train number 11763 which leaves Empoli 11:58 with stops
at Ponte A Elsa, Granaiolo, Castelfiorentino, and Certaldo
Poggibonsi-S. Gimignano then arrives Monteriggioni 12:49

Train Number 3116:
Departs Pisa: 12:18 PM
Stops in Pontedera-Casciana Terme. Arrives Empoli 12:49 You will then
change to train number 11767 which leaves Empoli at 1:08 (13:08) and
stops in Ponte A Elsa, Granaiolo, Cambiano, Castelfiorentino,
Certaldo, Barberino Di Val D'Elsa, and Poggibonsi-S. Gimignano then
arrives Monteriggioni 2:04 (14:04)

Train Number 3120:
Departs Pisa: 1:18 PM (13:18)
Stops in Pontedera-Casciana Terme. Arrives Empoli 1:49 (13:49). You
will then change to train number 11769 which leave Empoli at 2:00
(14:00) and stops in Ponte A Elsa, Granaiolo, Castelfiorentino,
Certaldo, Barberino Di Val D'Elsa and Poggibonsi-S. Gimignano then
arrives Monteriggioni at 2:52 (14:52)

There are additional trains leaving after 1:18. If you need
information on them, let me know.

I hope this answers your questions. Again, have a great trip!
