Dear Luciaphile,

I have recently been ill with an intestinal bacterial infection -- to
while away the hours, I was thinking about people from my past and
trying to remember there names. This was one I couldn't and its been
driving me crazy. I met him after he had injured his neck and spent
alot of time with him as he was bored with recuperation. He told me
that he had tried out for the Men's Olympic diving team, but I don't
know if it was platform or springboard. He said he had qualified as
an alternate (back-up). I met him in Westport, CT around 1973 or
1974. I hope this helps and that you can help me! Thanks, let-ga

Hi let-ga,

I'm still working on this, but haven't had much luck so far. Let me
know if any of these names seem familiar to you.

Richard Walter Gilbert
Jim Henry
Charles John Knorr
J. Keith Russell
Bernard Charles Wrightson
Edwin Young
Donald David Bush
Richard Douglas Earley
Michael Holman Finneran
Craig Howard Lincoln
Richard Anthony Rydze

Regards,
luciaphile-ga

Dear Luciaphile-ga,

Wow, I'm impressed. Unfortunately none of the names jogs my memory
-- although Rick Rydze sounds familiar, but probably from somewhere
else!

This is like when you get a song tune stuck in your head. Thanks for
your sleuthing.

let-ga --

Do you know, or can you make a good guess, where this person went to
college or even high school? Every little bit of information helps.

Dear Markj-ga,

Thanks for your interest. Tough... He was living in Westport, CT and
I think hemust have grown up or went to school nearby. Probably boy's
prep school -- College not a clue, probably also east, maybe diving
scholarship, but may have dropped/kicked out. Don't know who had a
good diving program? He was only about 20, in 1973, I think. Good
luck, I'm still stumped.
