I assume that someone is trying to pretend that he (or she) is you,
just like someone is apparently doing that for probonopublico-ga.
What is the screen name of this person?

For advice on what to do about an imposter, see tisme-ga's answer at:

Nothing quite so literal, I'm afraid. My question was indeed
referring to the imposter you've mentioned, but I've not been
impostered myself. Probonopublico gets all the luck.

I should perhaps have added :) at the end.

:)

Hi Michael,

I'm pretending to be awake today. Does that count?

I pretended to be a Math Teacher today, with a bit of Art Teacher
sprinkled in the middle. Does that count? :-)

I like the name probonopublico, but I have to say that the longer and
more complicated a nickname, the greater chance an imposter has to
fool people.

Ultimately all probonopublico-ga has to do is search for the other
guy's handle each day, and leave a comment saying it wasn't him, where
appropriate. Sad cases like the imposter are unlikely to hang around
long in such an environment.

Robert: I hope you are correct, but some imposters on www.abuzz.com
have been very persistant. Neil

I considered registering the username punkfraud-ga, just to keep it
out of the hands of some wacko.

Then I figured that if I were the one to register the name, it would
be in the hands of some wacko anyway, so I gave up and opted for a
nice hot tub full of Thorazine out on the deck.

I'm not actually an imposter, I'm just pretending to be one.

What is the opposite of imposter

Kemlo,

I think it should be obvious that, just as the opposite of
"impossible" is "possible," the opposite of "imposter" is "poster".

hi michael2-ga,

I'm signing in as requested. I'm pretending to be at work, well,
actually I'm sitting here, but my brain is nowhere to be found at
work...

Does that count? hehehe...

So far, four of our esteemed researchers have posted to confirm that
they are imposters, with PinkFreud posting twice. What does that tell
us about those whose every answer we depend upon?
