Hey, when getting hired by the fire department do they do polygraph
test like when becoming a cop? Simple yes or no would suffice. Thanks!

For which fire department do need an answer?  Some fire departments
may be different from others in this respect.

Many fire departments do require that applicants pass a polygraph:

As a side comment:

My understanding is that the polygraph is not reliable. 

It has been looked at by the UK authorities who have given it the
'thumbs down'. (Or so I believe.)
