festivities to be around $425. I therefore am face with a problem
since $425 is too high of an amount. Can someone please help me find a
place/ way I can purchase cheap tickets for the game? Possibly under

Chiboy-ga:

The Major League Baseball 2003 All-Star events are scheduled to take
place in Chicago, Illinois, starting with the opening of the John
Hancock All-Star Fanfest on July 11th, and culminating in the All-Star
Game itself the evening of July 15th. Tickets for the Fanfest are
available independently of the system in place to make tickets
available for the three days of Major League events set for US
Cellular Field. Prices for those events have been set by Major League
Baseball.

Here is a summary of the official information released regarding
tickets for all the All-Star events the public can attend. The John
Hancock All-Star Fan Festival (July 11-15) will be held in the Midwest
Express Center. Ticket prices are $16 for adults and $11 for children
(12 and under), seniors, and military personnel. At US Cellular Field,
the Radio Shack All-Star Sunday (July 13) features a Futures Game and
the Celebrity/Legend Softball game. Ticket prices are $40 for Lower
Deck Club Level; $30 for Lower Deck Bleachers; $20 for all Upper Deck
Seats. The Gatorade All-Star Workout Day (July 14) showcases batting
practice and the Home Run Derby. Ticket prices are $80, $60, and $40
applying to the same respective seating sections at US Cellular Field.
For The Major League Baseball All-Star Game itself (July 15) ticket
prices are: $175, $150, and $125 applying to the same respective
seating sections at US Cellular Field

An individual getting the opportunity to acquire tickets to the three
days of events at US Cellular Field by purchasing directly through
Major League Baseball and the host Chicago White Sox will pay a gross
range between and $185 and $295 for consistent seating over all three
days. Add $16 for a ticket to the Fanfest and the range becomes $201
to $311.

Chicago White Sox season ticket holders get preference for tickets,
and are the only members of the general public to be guaranteed that
opportunity to purchase tickets from the source at the official
prices. Ticket availability for the rest of the public will be
determined by lottery.

As of April 25, 2003, [and not before] Major League Baseball and the
Chicago White Sox will begin accepting postcard entries for an
All-Star ticket lottery. Tickets will be made available to those
entries drawn in strips of three; one ticket for each day of events at
US Cellular Field. More information about the lottery and its
procedures will be released by MLB and the host team on April 25th.

Seeking tickets to the events surrounding the 2003 Major League
Baseball All-Star Game by going through the procedures established by
Major League baseball itself seems to provide for a fair opportunity
at the parameters of affordability sought here. Keep apprised of the
information to be announced @ April 25th 2003 through the websites of
either Major League Baseball or the Chicago White Sox, links to both
will appear as sources to this answer. I hope this information helps.

Regards,

Brettquest

Chiboy-ga:

Greetings again. Providing information regarding "scalped" tickets to
the Major League Baseball All-Star Game could potentially represent a
violation of the Google Answers Terms of Service. This is because the
practice of scalping is deemed to be illegal, in some if not all
instances. You may review the Google Answers Terms of Service at --

In light of my answer, your specific interest may have become finding
tickets to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game through a
commercial source other than that offered by Major League Baseball
itself for less than the price range the official process creates. If
so, please understand that creates a different scope for an answer,
which may be better served as a new and seperate question. My sole
intention in answering here was to assist you by indicating a
legitimate method by which you could obtain the desired ticket(s) for
reasonably less than the $425 referred to in your request. I hope that
you continue to feel that has helped, and that I have been helpful to
you.

As a fellow baseball fan, I certainly wish you the best of luck in
obtaining the ticket(s) you seek. Let me point out again that you
reasonably have the opportunity to attend all the All-Star festivities
for as little as $201 and only as much as $311. Thanks for your
understanding.

Sincerely,
