I am looking where to buy additional IDE disk tray for Gateway NAS-400 server. It seems that this product has been discontinued. Server came installed with one drive only. Now I want to add additional drive. It works just fine with standard WD hard drives, but needs mounting kit. Any used part would be OK, also any compatible part is acceptable. Disk tray is made of steel with metal rails. It has adapter to convert IDE 40-pin and power connector to 80-pin hot-swappable connector(looks like SCSI, even though it is IDE). | |

Hi there, You are in luck. It just happens that, despite their being no sign of them available anywhere else, someone is selling lots of them at eBay, right now. I've never bought anything via eBay, but if it is possible to negotiate I wouldn't be surprised if they reduced the price - demand probably isn't very high. eBay: Gateway NAS http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&query=gateway+nas&cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&ht=1&from=R10&currdisp=2&itemtimedisp=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&BasicSearch= Best wishes, robertskelton-ga |

Sometimes the answer is so simple, like in this case - go to Ebay and check - but these experts bring the real value to people who need help :-) |
