If you have access to a library with an extensive reference collection, look for Awards, Honors and Prizes. I have found eleven (11)items that possibly match your question. I am sure that I did not find them all. The two highest medals are: The Congressional Medal of Honor is awarded by the president in the name of Congress, only given to military personnel. Presidential Medal of Freedom is awarded to both civilians and military personnel. See also www.medaloffreedom.com. |
