Im considering moving to a Mac for a number of reasons. However, I need my PC for Windows-only functions (I develop for Windows ironically). I plan on doing this by using Terminal Services for Mac, into a Windows Server machine I want to put into my basement. Before I make the move, I have a number of questions I would like an experienced Mac user to answer. 1. Can I map the SuperDrive to my Windows machine? I want to be able to install software on my Windows machine without having to run to my basement. 2. Can I map the Apple HD to my Windows machine? I would consider keeping all my data on the secure filesystem. 3. What software can I use to convert a DVD-Movie to DivX? 4. What software can I use to backup my DVDs (such as DVD X Copy for Mac)? 5. What is a good place to get free/trial software such as download.com for Windows? I know download.com has Mac software, but I do not think it is the place to get it. 6. What RAD development tools are available for the Mac that are equivalent to VB on Windows? Thanks! |
