I have recently successfully added a computer to my wireless network
only to have it now appear as unavailable to me. When I go to My
Network Places, the computer in question appears in the list with a +
beside its name. When I click on the +, the + goes away, but I don't
see the drive that is supposed to be shared or any folders. When I
double click on the computer name, I get a message saying that \\name
of computer\\xxx is not accessible and that I might not have
permission to access the computer. I haven't changed any settings on
the computer to be networked that I know of.

Please suggest a trouble-shooting sequence to find a solution to
bringing the computer back on the network.

What version of Windows are you using? Also, with the computer you
connected to the network, can you access the other computers? Thanks.

I'm using XP on a computer I'll call the "new" computer. The "old"
computer is running Win 98. It is the Old computer that I could not
access from the new computer. I have just finished downloading system
upgrades from Microsoft and now find that the Old computer is
accessible! Again, I made no changes of any settings. This is a
mystery to me, but right now, not a problem. I'd be interested in
suggestions for the future as there seems to be an intermittent
problem here.
