Hello Charterone,

I'd like to help you with this, but in order to do my best, I would
need a bit more information:

--what sort of merchant supplier are you interested in?

--what sort of criteria are important to you in determining the
validity of the merchant supplier?

--can you elaborate on your needs regarding epayment?

Any other details you could provide would help assure that, whoever
answers your question, can provide a targeted response that best meets
your needs.

Thanks.

From your title, I am assuming you mean a merchant account supplier?
A merchant account enables you to accept credit card (or epayments)
over the internet.

If that is your question, I have an answer for you. Few months back,
I was asked the exact same question and had to research/analyze and
conclude on the best merchant account provider. Today, I have updated
the research and analysis for your use. I will continue to check
whether anything needs to be added until your response.
Please let me know if this is what you wanted and I will post the
answer.

Hi there,

Before I start, I’d like to say that I am willing to continue working
on your question until you are satisfied. If you have any questions
or if this doesn't satisfy your request, please post a clarification
request before rating my answer.

For serious internet businesses, the selection of a merchant account
provider is one of the most critical decisions you will make. And for
companies with unique ecommerce needs or risk management issues, the
point at which you choose the right merchant account provider - one
that can meet your special needs, help your business grow, and approve
your terms of business - is a defining "make or break" ecommerce
moment.

Because there is a broad range of merchant accounts available and some
can, as is too often the case, hamper your business growth, drain you
with exorbitant hidden costs, and even bring business on your Website
to a grinding halt.

Since this is the case, I will first give you others and my
recommendation for merchant account providers and then provide you
with some information on choosing which will be best for your
business.

Rank 1: Echo, Inc. http://www.echo-inc.com/
Echo has very competitive rates, friendly and competent customer
support (24/7)and does not require much of a credit history to get a
merchant account. There are no hidden fees and you are not required
to pay anything for the month if you don’t have any sales.
The important thing about Echo is that it is not a merchant account
provider who resells credit card, debit and check solutions for other
companies/banks. They own their own bank and every merchant account
is processed through it (which gives them the ability to accept
virtually every merchant no matter what credit rating they have)
They have also developed and run their own Internet payment gateway
(like verisign and authorize.net) so they do not charge monthly
gateway fees.

Rank 2:
TMS (Total Merchant Services) - http://www.totalmerchantservices.com/
They do direct deposits! (Details)
Apply online & be setup in 24-48 hours!
Compatible with 175 shopping carts! (List)
Lowest setup fee for Authorize.net gateway!
Past bankruptcies & bad credit is no problem!

Rank 3: Cardservice International

Rank 4: E-Commerce Exchange (http://www.eccx.com)

Rank 5:
Credit card processor Inc (http://www.creditcardprocessor.com/) has
become one of the largest Merchant Account / Ecommerce Provider's in
the credit card processing industry. They don’t offer anything unique
but they have guaranteed lowest prices.

card processing and the associated fees, visit:

You can also choose to accept credit cards without your own merchant
account by using “Third Party Merchant Services”.
If you're starting a new online business, third party credit
processors are a strong option you should consider. By going through
the third party merchant servicess, you'll need less paperwork, and it
is easier to get started with credit card processing.
Third party merchant services are a company that can accept credit
card orders on behalf of you or your company. This makes obtaining a
merchant account for your company unnecessary, although it could be
worthwhile if you sell enough goods to warrant the expense involved.
Third party merchant services own merchant accounts with the
additional rights to use that merchant account to accept credit card
orders on behalf of other companies. They take care of the entire
purchasing process. This includes shopping cart, credit card
authorization, customer service and billing inquiries. When customers
are ready to buy, they click on a link on your site and are taken to a
secure order form on the third-party server. You are notified, usually
by e-mail, that a transaction has been processed. Your only
responsibility is to ship the order. Some processors handle returns.
Because they manage all aspects of transaction processing, third-party
processors allow small-business owners to save money on administration
and customer service. You don't need to manually verify transactions
or respond to billing questions.

Your statement is a bit unclear, but i assume you are looking for a
way to process credit cards?

Here is a compiled list of Merchant Banks/ Merchant Account Providers
/ Third Party Processors. If you are just looking for a quick solution
to accept credit cards on your website, you can go with a third party
billing provider and use the third party's merchant account to process
your transactions,(2checkout.com , Paypal.com , ibill.com etc...).
Third party billing solutions are very expensive sometimes taking up
to %15

If you needed a full blown merchant account to process credit cards on
your own. You can find a provider below. After you get a merchant
account you will need a online gateway to make transactions on the
internet.
