Hi mikepleydell

The publishers of the Times in London have produced a number of sets
of books following major wars in British history, many of which are
now collectors' items. I am assuming that you are after "The Times
History of The War" referring to the First World War, as opposed to
"The Times History of The War in South Africa" which was published a
couple of decades earlier, following the end of the Boer War.

There are a number of websites and databases which specialise in
listing books for collectors. One such site is ABE Books
(http://www.abebooks.com/) and it was on there that I did a search for
the book you're after. Whilst there are a number of specialist
retailers offering either the entire History series, I eventually
found two retailers there who claims to have the edition you require.

The first is in Escondido, CA, United States and priced at US$10. A
description of the book and its condition are available at
http://dogbert.abebooks.com/abe/BookDetails?bi=60028576

The second is in Mornington, VIC, Australia and priced at US$22.55. A
descriptoin of the book and its condition are available at
http://dogbert.abebooks.com/abe/BookDetails?bi=9100466

You can purchase the book either through the above-mentioned website
or by contacting the retailers directly.

I hope this is the information you were looking for. For future rare
book searches I would recommend you bookmark the URL
http://books.interdart.co.uk/books/d_bases.html which is a list of
searchable online databases for book collectors.
