Clarification of Answer by

Howdy tibiaron,
I appreciate the opportunity to clarify my answer.
At the Louis Williams & Sons' Makita-Direct.com web site
I was able to look up a part for a chainsaw, and had no
problem with getting to the point of entering my credit
card information to purchase it, which is where I stopped.
http://www.makita-direct.com
Makita-Direct.com indicates that items can be ordered online:
http://www.makita-direct.com/cgi-bin/html_web_store.cgi
"Everything listed in our catalog can be ORDERED ONLINE!"
They also state on the same page:
"Our online database contains over 11,000 parts and accessories
for Makita tools."
The process I went through to test their process was first to
go to the Makita-Direct.com parts breakdown page:
http://www.makita-direct.com/partbreakdowns.html
I typed in the model number of a Makita chainsaw I knew from
my prior searches:
5014NB and then clicked on Search
This gave me the opportunity to look at a PDF file that had
the parts breakdown for the model 5014NB chainsaw:
http://makita-direct.com/parts/5014nb.pdf
If you don't have it, you will need to download the free Adobe
Acrobat Reader in order to read the files from Louis Williams
& Sons, Inc. from:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
From that, I selected the first part on the list, which was
the guide bar for the chainsaw, 168219-8.
I then went to the Makita-Direct.com search page:
http://www.makita-direct.com/cgi-bin/html_web_store.cgi?page=search.html
I typed in the part number:
168219-8 and then clicked on Search
I then received a page that showed me the part and price:
14IN GUIDE BAR, 5014NB - 14IN GUIDE BAR, 5014NB $59.95
From there I had the opportunity to add the part to my shopping
cart and then allowed to figure shipping, and purchase the part.
As your question asked for:
"A correct answer consists of a web site address where I can buy
genuine Makita parts for a Makita chainsaw."
I believe that I have demonstrated that one can go to the Louis
Williams and Sons' Makita-Direct.com web site and do just that.
Hope this clarification helps!
Looking Forward, denco-ga
