Perhaps you can give us a few more hints. That's one of the most
cryptic messages I've seen. What were you doing when this message
occured? What other programs are running? What OS is it? etc...

Are you running "Tiny Personal Firewall" on your system? Are you
running the most up to date version?

I am running windows 98SE. Using DSL and an etherfast Cable/DSL
router. Running 3 computers. Only one puter records this error which
requires rebooting to continue. If the computer is left running for
any length of time without doing anything this error pops up and then
its reboot time. Other programs that r running are only pcpocket2002
and office toolbar. I have eliminated all others. I have scanned for a
virus but nothing posts. I thought microsoft had an error message code
breaker book.(or something). Help

Every resource I have checked show this *exact* error to be generated
by a program called "Tiny Personal Firewall". You're certain that this
application is not installed on this computer and never has been?

been loaded without me being aware of it. Do I need it? can I remove
it? does it need to be upgraded? if it is on my pc how can i find it?

Go to Control Panel and then Add/Remove programs. Look to see if you
see "Tiny Personal Firewall" in the list (or anything similiar). I
doubt very seriously that it could have been loaded without your
knowledge as it's a professional application used for protecting one's
computer from hackers and outside attackers. It's possible that this
is not causing your error, it's just that every single hit I found on
your exact error message came up as this program. There was nothing in
Microsoft's knowledgebase regarding this specific error, so it's most
likely being generated by a third-party application.

thanks for speedy reply, in control panel there is no firewall program
or anything like it. Is that program part of the linksys router? The
other two computers never logged the error. Is there another way to
detect firewall programs? Thanks again.

Should I find tiny personal firewall and download it?

No, I wouldn't recommend that you download it. If it's never been
installed, then I don't know what is causing the error. I couldn't
find any other record of this particular error. I'll let another
researcher take over from here to see if they might can help you
further.

I have to say I agree with pwizard on this one, I don't see another
possible cause.
Try looking on your computer and see if you can find this...
"c:\Program Files\Tiny Personal Firewall"
and "\Program Files\Common Files\PFWShared".
When did this problem start? Is it possible someone downloaded this
program, and didn't tell you?

I have been dealing with this problem for months. Had enough, need to
solve this. I am the only one who uses this computer. It is in my home
office. I looked for what you asked and they are not there. I am
willing to try just about anything.

Briandive-ga,
Thanks for you patience! I do know how frustrating this kind of stuff
is.
Lets try this. Look for the following files, which will be in your
"Windows\System" folder,
(start>find>files or folders> in the "named" box put
KmxAgent.VxD, KmxFw.VxD, KmxCfg.VxD, KmxIds.VxD, KmxSbx.VxD
In the look in box, make sure it reads C or local hardrive. Let me
know if it finds any of these.
You can also try this,
start, run, in the run box type in regedit, look for the following
registry keys,
"HKLM\Software\Tiny Software\Tiny Personal Firewall"
* "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\KmxAgent"
* "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\KmxFw"
* "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\KmxCfg"
* "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\KmxIds"
* "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\KmxSbx"
*Note, please be very careful while in regedit!
You may not have knowingly installed this program, however it does
come in a demo form, which is reported to have "lots of TDI errors",
so I thought it might be possible for it to have been put on the
machine as an "extra" when another program was installed?
Also,
Have you tried doing ctrl+alt+del and ending task on *everything*
except for explorer and systray?
