I am looking for research papers on how -- from the public relations
point of view -- the former New York City government handled the Sept.
11, 2001 crisis and how the media viewed what the Giuliani
administration did (which approaches were successful and which
weren't). I am also looking for speeches or remarks Mr. Giuliani or
his communications director Ms. Sunny Mindel did on how
the NYC government communicated with the city residents on the
Sept.11, 2001 casualty numbers, disaster relief, emergency measures
and so on, the tone of such communications, and why they thought such
approaches were effective (calming the residents, helping people to
find jobs ...) and increased government credibility. Also, what
lessons were learned during the handling of such an unexpected
catastrophe. |
