Schools both in Australia and in the UK require IELTS (and are accepting Toefel as an alternative). Moreover, all medical schools require some kind of entrence exam. With the tuition you are willing to pay you my want to think about schools in poorer European countries. However, these schools, too, require some kind of English test (although not necesarily TEOfEL). Do you want me to show you the requirements of English language programs in schools in these countries, although there's an entry exam? |

I think that you are asking the impossible. The cheapest course fees I found were in Greece, but these come to $5500 per year. To enter into this course you would need to have a knowledge of Greek as well as of English, either proved by means of a certificate or through an interview with a committee of the university. Courses in Hungary, which you would not wish to consider, cost twice as much as your maximum, and also require proof of ability in English as well as an entrance exam, while courses in Western Europe cost 3-4 times your maximum. Perhaps you should investigate the possibility of obtaining a grant to do this course, and also the possibility of obtaining a recognised proof of competence in English. |

If you have not already please have a look at the results from Peterson's Guide to Graduate schools in North America. http://iiswinprd01.petersons.com/GradChannel/AcdSearchResults.asp Many of these schools do require TOFEL and many of these schools fees are higher than you have requested, but they ALL say there is funding available. Contact schools you are interested from the emails provided in the link above and you may find something that meets your needs. Also, have you checked scholarship sites that provide funding for studies abroad? Good luck. |

I have checked a large number of schools in the UK and in Canada. None offer a post graduate course leading to a degree for a fee anywhere close to your limits - most are 3 to 4 times as expensve. However, a number of dentistry schools offer Certificate course at more moderate fees which maybe within your limits. |
