A detailed, state by state accounting of hydroelectric energy
generation through the year 2002 is presented at the Department of

More than 200 billion kilowatthours were generated by hydroelectric in
2002; the chart gives the amounts produced in each state, along with
the percent of the national total.
A note at the top of the page indicates an updated set of data is due
to posted sometime this month, so you might want to check back in a
week or two.
