Hello jr1734,
Thank you for your question
I think I stand in the minority, but I have never been a fan of
QuickBooks. For similar software and small business needs, I have
always used Mind Your Own Business, or MYOB.
http://www.myob.com/
"Welcome to the global hub of MYOB Limited developer of the business
management software family that's trusted by over 400 000 businesses
and accountants worldwide.
MYOB products have revolutionised the way business and accountants
manage their businesses. Our products have consistently won awards
across the globe for how they apply the unique MYOB philosophy towards
helping build better businesses.
Ultimately every country has its own business, payroll and taxation
rules. That's why we develop software which is country specific. To
find the MYOB software that's right for you please select your country
from the list on the right."
They even offer a $100 rebate for QuickBooks users! But I am not sure
you would consider this to be "more powerful" than QuickBooks, or not.
There is a free trial available for download and with the QuickBooks
discount, it is only $129 to purchase. It might be exactly what you
need, or you may feel that its functionailty is only simialr to
QuickBooks.
They describe the product as:
"MYOB Plus is an integrated, real time accounting solution for small
businesses of all kinds. It's an excellent choice for business people
who are looking for a powerful financial solution that integrates
practical business management tools capable of positively affecting
the company's bottom line.

flavors. There is a chart that helps you select the proper product for
your business:
