Greetings Holguinero:

After visiting many links from different search results, I found a
very concise and child-friendly text describing the meaning of
Passover at http://www.chosen-people.com/docs/GB/HelpingYou/Feasts/Passover/.
I believe your client will find it very easy to relate to his
children.

A more theological definition is located at
http://bibletools.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/Def.show/RTD/ISBE/Topic/Passover
and your client may want to read that for himself to better understand
the history but the first link I've provided is, after perusing many,
the easiet one for a child to grasp.

Should you require clarification of the links or information I have
provided, please request it and I will be happy to respond.

HI ! HOLGUINERO-GA. YOUR INTERESTING QUESTION IS ABOUT THE " NUTS AND
BOLTS" OF THE TRADITIONS OF THE EARLY JEWISH RACE. THE PASSOVER WAS
CELEBRATED FOR FIFTEEN HUNDRED YEARS AFTER THEY ESCAPED FROM EGYPT AND
IT WAS DONE TO THANK GOD FOR THEIR FREEDOM. BUT IT WAS NOT MEANT TO BE
DONE FOREVER. JEREMIAH 31;31 SAYS " LOOK! THERE ARE DAYS COMING" IS
THE UTTERANCE OF JEHOVAH [GOD`S NAME PSALM 83;18] AND I WILL CONCLUDE
WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JADAH, A NEW
COVENANT...VERSE 32. NOT LIKE THE COVENANT THAT I CONCLUDED WITH THEIR
FOREFATHERS IN THE DAY OF MY TAKING HOLD OF THEIR HAND TO BRING THEM
FORTH OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT, WHICH COVENANT OF MINE THEY THEMSELVES
BROKE, ALTHOUGH I HAD HUSBANDLY OWNERSHIP OF THEM, IS THE UTTERANCE OF
JEHOVAH.
THIS WAS A PROPHECY THAT WAS NOT FULFILLED TILL JESUS WAS ON EARTH. HE
WAS BORN A JEW AND FAITHFULLY FOLLOWED THE JEWISH TRADITION UNTIL HIS
FINAL LAST SUPPER, WHERE HE SAID TO HIS DISCIPLES, AT 1 CORINTHIANS
11;25. " THIS CUP MEANS THE NEW COVENANT, BY VIRTUE OF MY BLOOD. KEEP
DOING THIS AS OFTEN AS YOU DRINK IT, IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME. 26. FOR AS
OFTEN AS YOU EAT THIS LOAF AND DRINK THIS CUP, YOU KEEP PROCLAIMING
THE DEATH OF THE LORD, UNTIL HE ARRIVES" BY THIS, JESUS DID AWAY WITH
THE CELEBRATION OF THE PASSOVER BUT INSTITUTED THE ANNUAL REMEMBERING
OF HIS DEATH. THE JEWS IN CELEBRATING PASSOVER, ARE STILL DOING WHAT
JESUS CANCELLED ALL THOSE YEARS AGO. MARK 7;13 SAYS AND THUS YOU MAKE
THE WORD OF GOD INVALID BY YOUR TRADITION,WHICH YOU HANDED DOWN, AND
MANY THINGS SIMILAR TO THIS YOU DO. GOD`S WORD IS NEVER INVALID, SO
CELEBRATING PASSOVER THEREFORE , IN THESE TIMES, IS INVALID. IT HAS NO
VALUE.

response to pugwash:

thanks for the comment. very provocative. not sure i agree with that
perspective, tho.

does not passover celebrate the saving grace of the messiah, whilst
reminding us of our sinful nature and need for him? if so why would
calling attention to this be invalid?

if your just saying that christ came to fulfil prophecy and complete
things so that the unsaved jews (as well as all non believers) of
today are falling short, then i see your point.
