Hi majesteit,

I've noticed your question has been locked and unlocked a number of
times but nobody has posted an answer. My question to you is, what
makes you think there are poems written by Slobodan Milosevic? I have
found references to the fact that as a child he "preferred reading and
writing poems", but I can't imagine his childhood scrawlings being
saved and published.

Do you have some reference to him writing poems as an adult that might
give us a lead here?

Any additional information you can give us would be really helpful.

Thanks - K~

I think it's not Milosevic who wrote the poems, but Radovan Karadzic.

Greetings Majesteit,
Let me give you a link to four untitled poems written by Radovan
Karadzic. He's the one who published a book of children's poems.

Frontline: Radovan Karadzic - some of his poems
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/karadzic/radovan/poems.html

According to the Profile on Milosevic in the Killers of the 20th
Century profile, he did not write poetry. So it must be Karadzic. But
I'm sure the confusion is because Karadzic and Milosevic are
colleagues.

I hope this has given you what you needed. If you need any point
clarified, do post a request for clarification. Thank you.

Thanks very much Techtor! Just as Knowledge-seeker I found references
to the fact that Milosevic used to write poems when he was younger. I
knew there was some other person who was recently in the news because
of murder (and everything that is related to that) but it was totally
in the back of my head that it was Karadzic. It would still be great
if I found some poems by Milosevic or some other person who is
responsible for so much suffering.
I found another link to 'poetry' by Donald Rumsfeld.

The reason for finding these poems is (might you be interested) that I
find it a fascinating thing that people who give orders to kill with
the same ease go sit behind their desk and write a poem. I know that
it's in all of us to be a murderer, I am very realistic in that sense,
but I also know that to kill or not to kill is just a choice. Till now
I only copy/pasted the poems by Karadzic but my hope is (because it
would in some way be a relieve) that they are very bad poems.

Thanks for the great rating and the tip! :)

Yes, it is quite an ironic thing for a known killer to write
children's poems. But it is true that cruel men can have their own
soft sides. If these killers have families, they could love their own
children, but would burn to death the children of the race that they
hate or their enemies. It's a very specific of chauvinism, IMHO.

If Milosevic had written poems (which he certainly would have done in
school), I doubt any survived. Nothing on the net shows up about them.
Karadzic's works reached publication, so we know about them.
