Pink Floyd would be a worthy option too

'Trans Dimensional Man' by hawkwind would suffice as the answer alone ;-)

Gan,

I've found these three for starters, and will keep looking for the other artists:

Queen, "We Are the Champions"
http://www.tzahevet.co.il/songs/Queen%20-%20We%20Are%20The%20Champions.mp3

Madonna, "Like a Prayer"
http://www.capidea.com/Like_A_Prayer-Madonna.mp3

REM, "Everybody Hurts"
http://www.richardlake.freewire.co.uk/LosingMyReligion.mp3

Will the ones above be OK? If other titles are more desireable, please let me know.

Ah, Pink Floyd.

Pink Floyd, "Shine On, You Crazy Diamond"

Am I doing OK so far?

Gan,

It is always nice to be able to help a Google Answers colleague!

Here we go, the tunes I posted above, plus the Trans-Dimensional Man
that you need:

Queen, "We Are the Champions"
http://www.tzahevet.co.il/songs/Queen%20-%20We%20Are%20The%20Champions.mp3

Madonna, "Like a Prayer"
http://www.capidea.com/Like_A_Prayer-Madonna.mp3

REM, "Everybody Hurts"
http://www.richardlake.freewire.co.uk/LosingMyReligion.mp3

Pink Floyd, "Shine On, You Crazy Diamond"
http://www.4madhatters.net/CD2-001-pink_floyd-shine_on_you_crazy_diamond_%28parts_1-7%29.mp3

Hawkwind, "Trans-Dimensional Man"
http://www.mortalwombat.com/Music/Trans-DimensionalMan.mp3

I located most of these with alltheweb.com's audio search feature,
which is most handy:

Alltheweb.com
http://www.alltheweb.com/?cat=mp3&cs=utf-8&q=&_sb_lang=en

Here is a bonus. If you like Hawkwind, you might be interested in
downloading some of these covers. "High Rise" is especially nice:

Here's another:

The The, "Armageddon Days Are Here Again"

And the hits just keep on comin'...

Osric Tentacles, "Kick Muck"
http://pongmaster.ozrics.co.uk/mp3s/Ozric%20Tentacles%20-%20Kick%20Muck.mp3

I think I'll take a nap now. My brain hurts from listening to all
these songs. Maybe I am finally too old for rock & roll. :-D

gan-ga rated this answer:5 out of 5 stars and gave an additional tip of: $5.00
Not to denigrate any others, but that takes the biscuit as just about
the best, fastest answer I've had. I'm really pleased, thanks a
thousand.

Thank you very much for the five stars and the five dollar tip!

And thanks for asking for some Pink Floyd. I thought everybody had forgotten. ;-)

Umm...the R.E.M. one is NOT the real R.E.M. performing, although it is
an R.E.M. track. So if R.E.M. performing that gan-ga wants he/she
could instead try here, with the track "The Final Straw that they've
released on their official webpage:

Gan,

Oops. I am sorry to have delivered a phony REM rather than the real
thing. I have a hearing loss, so it's difficult for me to tell the
difference these days. With my tin ear, even Celine Dion sounds like
Michael Stipe. ;-)

This directory of MP-3 files includes fourteen REM tunes which I
believe are genuine:

Note that the links above that led to "Armageddon Day" and
"Trans-Dimensional Man" are no longer functional. I'm glad to have
been able to help you find your tunes!
