I'm looking for statistics on an urban riot in the U.K. in 2001. I particularly want info on those particpating in the Bradford riot that took place on July 7th 8th etc. What were their ethinicity, religion, age range etc? All I can find is the rather generic term 'asian'rioters. I am also concerned about the quality of information. There seems to be a lot of blame and name calling from 'far right'and other groups so some kind of standing to the source would be appreciated (eg govt info or council or a respected body etc). This is the riot I am most interested in: http://www.westyorkshire.police.uk/Fact%20Files/bfdriots.htm Thanks |

While not providing the statistics you request, this article by Paul Mezaros of Bradford Trades Council, which appeared in Searchlight Magazine, provides some background: http://www.searchlightmagazine.com/stories/BehindBradfordRiot.htm |
