Hello.

According to the National Pan-Hellenic Council, an umbrella group of
traditionally African American fraternities and sororities, the total
membership population of undergraduate and alumni members is 1.5
million.

Good info! I am hoping to acquire more exact numbers, particularly
regarding the fraternites. Both K-A-PSI and A PHI A have over 100,000
members, but I have read other reports that cite A PHI A with over
160,000. This is the matter I hope to clarify.

Hi.

There are some other numbers floating around out there, such as:

"THE ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATERNITY, INCORPORATED exceeds 125,000 members
"
http://stuwww.hsu.edu/apa/history_of_alpha_phi_alpha.htm

If you need more exact, up-to-date figures, though, it would probably
be a good idea to contact the fraternities directly:

Alpha Phi Alpha
Telephone: 410-554-0040
http://www.alphaphialpha.net/home.html

Kappa Alpha Psi
Telephone: (215) 228-7184
http://www.kappaalphapsi.com/ihq/ihq.htm
or email contacts:
