Title of the project: Can verbal agreements constitute legal contracts? Summary: From the material we read in class we know that an agreement is not always a contract but can certain verbal agreements constitute legal contracts? In some countries marriage among couples can occur by verbal agreement, buying and selling of goods, services, information is done as a verbal agreement as well. But are these valid under a court of law? What if the agreement is not honoured? And who is to say it is not a contract anyway? What impact does this have on management and on engineering in specific? These are the questions we will try to answer on this paper using previous research on the matter, books, historical documents and court cases. | |
