How can I gain access to the will of a person who died in 1985 in New York City?

Wills are found in the probate records in the Surrogate's Court in
each county in New York State. Probate records include case files,
minute books, record books of wills, letters, orders, etc.  If the
will was filed in New York City, you can go to

New York, NY 10007
(212) 374-8233
