Hi ah_oooh,
What a pleasant way to start the day - thank you for the lovely
question! Sounds like you are in for a treat - the Antelope Valley
California Poppy Reserve is in full bloom right now and should be for
awhile yet if it gets a bit of rain.
Although one website containing information about many wildflower
areas is convenient, a more accurate update can usually be found on
individual sites. In addition, I suggest giving them a call before
leaving home to be sure conditions haven't changed drastically.

" The Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve and surrounding areas
continue to be chock full of California poppies (Eschscholzia
californica). Weather has been windy and warm, but if the promised
rain materializes this weekend, bloom should be extended another week
or two. For best viewing, make sure to pick a sunny, windless day to
visit."
