I can't say about UK, but less formal divisions occur in the USA, which are reiforced begining shortly after birth by parents, siblings and relatives who speak correct English, are better educated, give the baby more attention, better health care and more nuetricious food. These are likely significant factors in producing superior adults in The UK as well as The USA. Welfare families produce (on the average) even less capable adults who are poorly prepared for college or university. Neil |
