When a person appears in a semi-nude manner it means that they are
showing off their physical attributes in order to make themselves more
attractive to others, and thus bring about an opportunity for
employment. Actors and models are not only hired and paid for innate
or learned talent but also because they look "good" or fit. A model or
actress posing semi nude is done for the purpose of making a person
believe they are "sexy" or "sensual" or showing that they are
attractive and eye catching, which will in turn sell a product.
Exploiting one's sexuality sells products, so these women use their
bodies to sell "themselves" in a way so they will be considered the
right person for a job. For a model, posing semi-nude can show more
bone structure, define the lines and curves of their bodies and show a
designer how clothing might hang on them. We can see if they are in
proportion, and also women pose semi-nude in some cases to "fool"
people into thinking they are more attractive than they really are.
Some very ordinary looking women can win jobs simply by putting on
makeup and posting seductively, thus making another person more
receptive to considering them for a job. They are using their
sexuality as leverage in the job market.
