Hi,

I need to find a web based newsletter system which runs on Linux, with
PHP and MySQL. The catch is that it must have an integrated
subscription function, where users who want to sign up for the
newsletter have to pay an annual subscription fee using their credit
card.

There are a number of systems out there:
Max-eMail Professional, MailWorks Professional, 1-2-ALL Broadcast
Email, Octeth Email Manager Pro...None of them have the payment
function integrated.

Thanks.

Hi Obirsen,

Would you be interested in something that operates online
and includes a full-blown shopping cart and autoresponders?

I know of two systems that you can use. They are both a part
of something with more features. One of them will let you
issue a smart HTML newsletter (i.e. if they only get text,
it knows to convert it).

They both have good tracking. The HTML one will also tell
you if they've opened it.

Prices are about $300 or so for the year, with ALL the
other features (some of which you don't need, some of which
you might LOVE, including hand-submission to search engines),
depending on the size of the subscriber base.

Interested?

Best wishes.

<a href="http://standardout.com/">StandardOut</a> has a system called
"Scif 3" which has subscription-based services, including newsletters
and discussion forums.
