I am looking for the names of the people that actually drove the
Official Toyota Pace Cars prior to the race. I found those same
ladies that you found as the pace car team; however, there were 2
drivers - male that were driving fans around the track prior to the
race - what are their names?

Update:
I received a reply from Rebecca Hale from Historic GP.
"The driver of the 1975 Toyota Celica pace car for the Historic Grand Prix
event was Bob Bondurant. I have no idea who the other pace car drivers
were for the other support races. Try contact the Grand Prix Association
of Long Beach for info."
I will keep you informed as I receive more informtion.

I have good news for you. Mario Andretti and Wally Dallenbach are the
names of the drivers you require.
This is how I obtained the names:
I contacted Dover Motor Sports Inc., the promoters of the Toyota Grand
Prix of Long Beach 2003 and Kevin O'Brien replied:
“I don't have information on the names of the pace car drivers.
However, you might want to contact Cathie Lyon who manages the pace
car program for Champ Car. clyon@cart.com”
I e-mailed Cathy the following question:
“I am looking for the names of the people that actually drove the
Official Toyota Pace Cars prior to the race at Long Beach Grand Prix
2003.
I found the names of the ladies of the pace car team; however, there
were two
drivers - male that were driving fans around the track prior to the
race - Would you know what their names are?”
Cathy replied:
“The two men that were driving pace cars for me that weekend were
Mario Andretti and Wally Dallenbach.

I appreciate all of your efforts and for how much work you have done -
payment is certainly deserved. :-) I wish I could have remembered
the names. One was a Jeff and the other I do not know - that was why
I asked about who was driving the official pace cars. My girlfriend I
were lucky enough to be two fans selected to go in the official Toyota
pace car - not one of the other pace cars where they lined up for it.
These were pre-selected and we had appointed times at 11:10am - I
think. We have pictures of us and simply wanted to be able to say
who drove us - not a big deal - but the two guys you named - I don't
think were them. One was from San Diego and that is about all I know.
Thanks again for all of your work and you certainly have earned it.
I didn't realize how tough it would be to figure it out.

This is a long shot but it may work.
The reply I received today from Gemma Bannon of Dover Motor Sports
Inc., said the name of the drivers are Nick Kunewalder and Jason
Ricker.
You could scan and email the photos you have of yourselves and the
drivers to her at gbannon@dovermotorsportsinc.com and perhaps that way
she could confirm those names or give you the names of the drivers in
your pictures.
