and seems to be very knowledgable in this area.  Here's the question: 
What is the ave. current retail price of gasoline in Argentina,
Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, and Venezuela?  We would need the
answer quoted in U.S. dollars, and using either liters or gallons.  IF
possible, would you be able to get back to me in 2 or 3 hours?  Thank

This task proved to be extremely hard. I must admit that I was -
though I literally searched for hours - not able to find the most
up-to-date prices for most countries; but I did my very best to
collect at least the most current ones available.

- Argentina -
Regular gasoline: $0.55 per liter (27 February 2003)
Diesel: $0.49 per liter (11 April 2003)

- Brazil -
Regular gasoline: $0.72419 per liter (14 April 2003)
(According to a Researcher resident in Brazil: $0.709966; so there
might be considerable local differences from the average price)
Super gasoline: $1.13865 per liter (14 April 2003)
Diesel: $0.51 per liter (11 April 2003)

- Chile -
Gasoline (93 octane): $0.68939 per liter
Gasoline (95 octane): $0.69344 per liter
Gasoline (97 octane): $0.69749 per liter
Diesel: $0.53139 per liter
(All prices as of 8 March 2003)

- Ecuador -
Regular gasoline: $0.53 per liter (as of 27 February 2003)
Diesel: $0.24 per liter (as of 27 February 2003)

- Mexico -
Regular gasoline: $0.40820 per liter
