Hello planner100--

I have done some substantial research on your question and have your
answer.

First, I searched the Arkansas Secretary of State corporation database
for "National Investors Life Insurance." The link to that search is:
http://www.sosweb.state.ar.us/corps/search_all.php

I was able to pull up the following report:

Corporation Name NATIONAL INVESTORS LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY*********
Filing # 300001925
Filing Type Insurance Company
Filed under Act Insurance Company; Insurance Co
Status Administratively Withdrawn
Principal Address

Reg. Agent N/A
Agent Address ,
Date Filed 01/01/1987
Officers N/A
Foreign Name N/A
Foreign Address

State of Origin N/A
 N/A

Since the status was listed as "administratively withdrawn," I called
the Secretary of State's office in Arkansas. They told me that status
means that the state dissolved the company because they weren't up to
code.

I then called the Arkansas State Department of Insurance at
501-371-2600. They told me that the company is no longer doing
business under that name.

The company called United Fidelity, they said, took over all life
insurance policies from National Investors. United Fidelity can be
reached at 1-800-366-6565.

This should be what you're looking for. If you have any questions or
need any clarification, please don't hesitate to ask.

You have done a fantastic job on this (these) question(s). When I
called United Fidelity Life Insurance Company, however, I learned that
United Fidelity did not buy the annuity business of National Investors
Life Insurance Company, when it became defunct. I have tried to call
the Tennessee Department of Insurance and had to leave a voice
message.
Did you see anything in your research that might show who bought the
annuity business of Natinal Investor life Insurance Company?
Thanks so much for your help.

Hello--

When I talked with the Arkansas Department of Insurance they asked me
whether I was inquiring about an annuity account or a life insurance
account. I said life insurance since that was the name of the company.

I will try the Insurance Department again tomorrow. You may also call
them yourself, if you'd like at 501-371-2600.

Thanks,

Darrel
