The last time I bought a new car in 1999, I used an internet service,
Autobytel, which provided a very competitive price at a dealer that
was not close to my home but the dealer said that they would deliver
the car to my home (about 60 miles one way) if I bought from them. I
eventually bought closer to my home for a bit more than that dealer
was offering. Autobytel this time sent me to the local dealer that I
bought from and they are not offering a competitive price. Is there
another service that I can use that will locate a dealer who would
offer a competitive price? My home is in Melbourne, Florida which is
on the east coast of the statebelow Daytona Beach. I am interested in
a Lexus GX470 and only that vehicle.

Howdy geonos!

There is the CarsDirect.com which "has been rated the #1 car-buying
site or top Internet site by Forbes, Time, PC Magazine, and Yahoo!
Internet Life, among others..."
http://www.carsdirect.com/

"We leverage the buying power of tens of thousands of new car buyers
with the dealers in our dealer network to bring you the best deals
possible on new cars and trucks. And we back up our already low prices
with the following guarantee:

If, within three days after purchasing a vehicle from CarsDirect.com,
you find a lower price for the same vehicle identically equipped,
CarsDirect.com will refund the difference between the price you paid
and the advertised or other dealer's price."

You will want to select the Make (Lexus) and the model (GX470) and
then click on GO. You will then asked for your zip code, and will
be able to select the options you desire, etc.
