Dear aldinger,
I think I have found the answer. But to be sure, I need to know from
what source or context you took the word. Is there any connection to
Norway?
Regards,
Scriptor

I can find no sign that "telepending" is a word in English. Nor do I
find the word mentioned on any English-language Web site. It would be
very helpful if you could tell us the context in which you encountered
this word.
Is there any chance that you mean "telespending"?

All context that I can find on telepending is in German. We are a
list management company that has been asked if we could telepend
records.

"Tele" means "at a distance" or "from a distance". Example of use is:
Telebroking - the transaction of stock market business at a distance
by electronic means
Pend" means to hang; be attached or attach to.
I believe you are being asked if you can send or attach records
digitally or through other electronic means.
This is my own interpretation and I could be wrong. But if it turns
out that this is precisely what your client means, please let me know.
Thanks

aldinger --
I suspect that you may be referring to "tele-appending," "tele
appending" or "teleappending," which apparently mean the same thing
are are represented by a few online references. The most
comprehensive explanation that I have found is here:
Prospect Shop: Tele Append
http://www.prospectshop.com.au/tele_append.html
Another brief explanation may be found here:
Donnelley Marketing: Tele Append & Verification System
http://www.donnelleymarketing.com/prodserv/enrichment4.htm
Other online references may be found by a Google search using the
following terms:
teleappend OR "tele append"
I am not a data processing or list management expert, so I am not
confident in my ability to evaluate this information as responsive to
your brief question. If it would be a completely sufficient response,
please post a clarification to that effect, and I will post the
information as an answer.
