Hello apcs_uk,
There are a number of flat-rate business dial up packages, but
although you can access the Internet at any time, the total number of
hours you can use it will vary with the price you are willing to pay.
I have included a selection of accounts offered by 9 ISPs. Some of
these limit the hours of access per week or month, and some provide
unlimited access. Your choice will depend on how much you need to
access the Internet and also how much web space you would like from
your ISP.
I do not have personal experience of nor connections with any of these
ISPs. I am aware that Pipex is a very long-established and reputable
company.
Pipex is a dedicated business ISP.
Whether it's for higher speeds, dedicated always on access or simply
to control or reduce your overall Internet costs, PIPEX have the right
unmetered solution for you.
And because PIPEX recognise businesses are constantly having to evolve
and adapt to change, we provide you the flexibility to upgrade or
downgrade your selected DialTime unmetered package in line with your
current levels of availability assurance or usage requirements. In
other words you don't have to worry about being stuck with the wrong
unmetered DialTime package and incur extra costs or loss of
productivity.
Dedicated 1:1 24/7 Package £99.75/month £299.25/quarter £1184.25/year
your connection is assured via a modem port exclusively reserved for
your own personal use. There are no connection time limits - you can
connect when you want, for as long as you want
If you currently use
the Internet for an average of two hours or more each business day
this package will probably save you money
. You can even access the
Internet using DialTime from a second location outside business hours
using BonusTime, included as part of the package price.
Shared 3:1 24/7 £39.75/month £119.25/quarter £464.25/year
Contended (shared) unmetered Internet access any time day or night,
weekdays or weekends, with one of the lowest contention ratios of any
shared unmetered offering in the UK.
to keep the package price down, your connection to an unmetered modem
port is shared with other users. The very low contention ratio of 3:1
means that your connection is shared with only two other users, making
your Internet connection both highly accessible and extremely
cost-effective.
You can get the BonusTime option (see above) for an extra £5/month.
DialTime Shared 5:1 24/7 (sharing with 4 other users) £29.75/month
£89.25/quarter £344.25/year
BonusTime an extra £5/month.
Combined Package £69.75/month £209.25/quarter £824.25/year
a unique package tailor-made for businesses at an unbeatable price.
Unlimited Dedicated Internet availability when you need it most -
during the business day, Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm. Outside these
times you can still connect to the Internet using a non-dedicated
connection
the DialTime Shared Evenings and Weekends 5:1 package if
you wish. Perfect for those businesses that sometimes work late.
BonusTime, giving access from another location evenings and weekends
is still £5/month extra.

Pipex accounts quoted a contention ratio of 3:1 or 5:1. Many of the
ISPs listed below quote a ratio of 7:1. This is one of the factors
you need to take into account when making comparisons.

If you want news plus user reviews of UK ISPs, go to ISP Reviews

heavily biased to home accounts.
Search strategy: UK "flat rate" 56k business I also added charities
as a search term, but did not come up with anything more relevant, ie
special deals for charities. |
