Though not addressing any differences between men and women, this answer might give you a good start in understanding the biological stages of a relationship -- http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=65201 -K~ |

This is not yet a relationship stage really, but I read about studies saying that men perceive many things a woman does as flirting (certain body language and so on), whereas her intends might be completely different. In general the clichee goes that women commit faster (e.g. she's talking about marriage and he just wants to have fun), but I think that can happen on both sides, and is just that, a clichee. |
