Hi joliette,
I have located the leading educationl publishers in the UK. However,
they are not in order of rank and they are more than 6. I can provide
their contact information including websites. Would this suffice as an
answer and if so, how many would you be interested in? Let me know
what you decide. Thanks.

Hi rainbow,

I also found the ones I think are the most important, but I would like
to have a kind of ranking - from 1 to 6 (6 is enough) - to know who is
the biggest, who is the second biggest, etc. It doesn't have to be a
perfect ranking, but an approximate one.
It would be great if you could find that out!
Contact information including websites would be enough.

Thank you!
Regards,
joliette

Hi joliette,
I have searched extensively for some sort of ranking among the
educational publishing compnies in the UK and can find no evidence of
leadership. As I mentioned before, there are quite a few leading
publishers but not in rank. There are many contradictions as to
exactly who the leading company is.
Here are some examples:

“Nelson: Britain's leading publisher of educational materials.”
Keystage-English Books
http://www.keystage.co.uk/ks1/english/englishbooks.asp

“Harcourt International is the leading publisher for the UK primary
and secondary school markets.”
Reed Elsevier Companies-Notes for Editors
http://www.reed-elsevier.com/reedmediacentre/notesforeditors/

“Heinemann is the UK's number one educational publisher and produce a
wide range of books and other resources for schools and colleges.”
OCR-Awards and Events

Let me know how you would like me to proceed. Thanks.

Hello rainbow,

As there doesn't really seem to exist a valid ranking, I would like to
know who are the 6 companies that appear as the leading / one of the
leading publishers (such as Heinemann, Harcourt,... ) in the sources
you found, okay?

Thank you for your help,
joliette
