Hello again, Nikenn.

Try the following:

Go to the "Start2 menu, then "All Programs", then select
"Administrative Tools".
Click "Computer Management", then expand "System Tools", then expand
"Users and Groups".

Right click on the user profile for B and select "Properties".
Go to the "Member of" tab and look for the Administrators group.
If you cannot see this and see something like "Power User" or "User"
then click on the "Add" button and type "Administrators" in the large
box.
Click "OK", then "OK" again and then close the "Administrative Tools"
window.

Reboot the PC then try to gain access.
If this works then please let me know so I can post it as an answer
for you.

Regards,
errol-ga.

In the "Member of" field for user A is "Administrators" and for user B
are "Administrators" and "Users" so it seems not to be a problem.
Thanks

If I log on with guest account and try to access C:\Documents and
Settings\A or C:\Documents and Settings\B I also get "Access is
denied" but in this case that has a sense.
Any idea?

Hi there.

Try this:
Log in on the account who's folder you can't access. Open up Windows
Explorer, right-click on the folder for the account and click
properties, click the Sharing tab, and see if the box "Make this
folder private" is checked. If so, uncheck it and your problem should
go away. Please let me know if this solves your problem.

Hello again,

I'm glad to hear that this solution worked for you. I'll include the
answer again below so it can be found by anyone looking for it in the
future.

Here's a step-by-step process for fixing this problem:
- Log in on the account who's folder you can't access.
- Open up Windows Explorer or My Computer and navigate to C:\Documents
and Settings\(user name)
- Right-click on the folder for that user name and click
Properties
- Click the Sharing tab, and see if the box "Make this
folder private" is checked. If so, uncheck it and you should be able
to access the folder after that.

A picture of the dialog box and the checkbox you need to uncheck can
