Well, really a shower to install. I saw these round-front showers from Kohler (http://www.us.kohler.com/onlinecatalog/detail.jsp?frm=1&module=Shower+Receptors&item=484502&prod_num=9569) and they looked really nice and would fit in a funny corner. But note the doors: They open in the middle. I would like a round-front shower where the door slides from one side. Doors are typically available separately from the shower itself. I would need a door and shower system that are guaranteed to fit, but they dont have to be from the same manufacturer. Other requirements: --The unit must be of good quality, not these low-cost flimsy sheets of plastic that flex as you touch them. Kohler makes nice units, as does their Sterling subsidiary (http://www.sterlingplumbing.com). In fact, I would get one of the Sterling units if they had one. Fiberglass units are OK, but I dont really like the majority of those units from a quality standpoint. --The unit must be designed for remodeling. That means that it comes in pieces so you can get it through doorways. --The unit must mate with a prefabricated shower base. --I have to be able to get it in the Chicago area. (Once given a manufacturer and model, I am quite willing to spend a little time finding a local source.) Preferably I would like to be able to see it, but I can be persuaded to order it delivered. I would accept a neo-angle unit if the door opened from the side also, instead of along that cutoff corner. But I HIGHLY doubt if they are available.) |

Howdy (and thanks!) liner, I think I have found your door and base, but it is the UK based Nordic Saunas and I can't find a US distributer. I have sent email to them to see if they have one. I still have yet to get a response from them, but will do a posting here if they get back to me. http://www.nordic.co.uk You can see the door and base, etc. at: http://www.nordic.co.uk/PDF/Milano.pdf You will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader plugin to view the above file. If you do not have it installed, you can get it here: http://www.adobe.co.uk/products/acrobat/readstep2.html When you are viewing the file, you will want to go to page 34 and then page 35 for a picture, then the specifications. In the Adobe Acrobat Reader you can go to a specific page via an input box at the bottom of the viewer. Just for fun, here are two corner showers that do not have doors at all. I think they are brilliant. europa urban http://www.showerlux.com/e/e_eurourb.htm europa corner http://www.showerlux.com/e/e_euroc.htm Search strategy bathroom showers corner curved "sliding door" ://www.google.com/search?q=bathroom+showers+corner+curved+%22sliding+door%22 Looking Forward, denco-ga |

rated this answer:![]() You did not find a US distributor, much less a Chicago-area display house. But you did find exactly what I was looking for. The fact that it is in the UK means to me that it probably is not available in the US. Still, I will use the information supplied to continue my search. Thanks for all your help. |

Those are really nice, and I even recognize Grohe shower fixtures (which I am planning on using). But unfortunately the doors are hinged. I was looking for sliding doors like those shown at Kohler, but instead of opening in the middle, they would open from one side. This means that you would be standing right next to the wall when you got in. Sorry, but a really good try. P.S. If you know that Batavia is a suburb of Chicago, you must have lived here. |

Denco: Those are spot on! And, if the cost were not too bad I would buy them sight unseen; the company looks very legitimate. Whether they are available in the US or not, you are welcome to put the results as an answer. |

Thanks for the 5 star rating liner! I will still check here and there to see if I can find it in (at least) the US. Looking Forward, denco-ga |
