Hi, thanks for asking a question on Google Answers. Can you provide
more information about what you need to know? What product
descriptions are you asking about? Can you point us to a specific
website or example?

My new companies web page is www,transmotionmedical.com. We
manufacture Specialialt Medical chairs for radiology, speech
pathology, barium swallow studies and so on. Why do not any of the
product names or words used in my web page tie to keyword searches on
any search engine and how can I get them to be active in a search?

Hi there,

For some reason the search engines have not been visiting your site. I
suggest fixing your robots.txt and re-submitting your URL to all the
major search engines.

Google
------

The last time Google visited your site was Feb 8, when it was still
under construction:
http://search.cometsystems.com/search.php?qry=TransMotion+medical&gg_ca=Uc6oYXYuXTYC:www.transmotionmedical.com%2F&origin=unknown

Your site back then is what Google currently has indexed. It will only
appear in search results for keywords that appeared on the page back
on Feb 8. A search for "TransMotion medical" has your page in the
results:

Google usually comes back once a month and re-indexes websites. There
is no way of knowing why it did not visit your site in March, but the
most likely reason would be that your site was not online when Google
tried to visit. I strongly suggest that you re-submit your URL to
Google:

It might take another month or two before Google has an update of your
site in its index.

Other search engines
--------------------

Inktomi has not been back to your site since January:
http://www.hotbot.com/default.asp?prov=Inktomi&query=TransMotion+medical&ps=&loc=searchbox&tab=web

AltaVista still has the old version of your site in its index:
http://altavista.com/web/results?q=transmotionmedical.com&kgs=0&kls=1&avkw=xytx

AlltheWeb doesn't have you in its index, nor does Teoma.

I suggest that you submit your URL to all the top search engines. It
can be done quite easily here:
http://searchenginez.com/submit.html

robots.txt
----------

It is currently badly formatted. I have no idea if this could be
causing your problems, but I suggest re-creating it. At present it
looks like this:

User-agent: *Disallow: /cgi-bin/Disallow: /booboo/Disallow:
/stats/Disallow: /images/Disallow: /templates/
http://www.transmotionmedical.com/robots.txt

It needs to look like this, with line breaks:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /cgi-bin/
Disallow: /booboo/
Disallow: /stats/
Disallow: /images/
Disallow: /templates/

-----------------------

Unfortunately it will take weeks or even months for your site to
appear in search results for the keywords you desire. You will have to
be patient.

If any part of my answer is unclear, just ask for a clarification and
I'll get back to you.

Best wishes,
robertskelton-ga
