My husband and I would like to travel on the Queen Elizabeth II. However, we're not interested in the transatlantic (New York-Southampton) cruise. Are there any cruises this summer (late May through Mid August) to any other destinations? Are there any departures from American cities other than New York? Also, will the QEII have any itinerary in 2004 (especially January)? Thank you. |

Hi there, According to Cunard's website, you are out of luck - the only cruises leaving the USA in the summer are to Southampton: http://www.cunard.com/index.cfm?method=calendar&content=itin&Lang=US&nrow=21&searchstyle=qe2&searchmonth=all&searchRegion=top Some cruises continue past Southampton: Grand Passage 2 - Norway Jun 1, 2003 24 days http://www.cunard.com/index.cfm?method=daybyday&Region=Euro&content=home&lang=us&cruiseid=2481 Grand Passage 3 - Mediterranean Jun 25, 2003 27 days http://www.cunard.com/index.cfm?method=daybyday&Region=Euro&content=home&lang=us&cruiseid=2482 Grand Passage 4 - Mediterranean Jul 22, 2003 26 days http://www.cunard.com/index.cfm?method=daybyday&Region=Euro&content=home&lang=us&cruiseid=2483 In April there is a cruise to the Caribbean: New York to New York Apr 23, 2003 11 days http://www.cunard.com/index.cfm?method=daybyday&Region=America&content=home&lang=us&cruiseid=2421 And early May to Bermuda: New York to New York May 4 6 days http://www.cunard.com/index.cfm?method=daybyday&Region=America&content=home&lang=us&cruiseid=2422 As for 2004: " QE2's 2003 season of transatlantic crossings will be her last. In 2004, QM2 takes up the reins while QE2 turns her attention to an exciting programme of cruises sailing roundtrip from Southampton" http://www.cunard.com/OnBoard/QE2/qe2.asp?Active=QE2 Search strategy: browsed cunard.com Best wishes, robertskelton-ga | |
