Dear madcoweater-ga; Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting question. While unofficial, this site, which appears to be the only independent source available at the moment that updates daily, claims to glean its information from notable news sources and that it confirms its count by comparing the data against multiple reports. IRAQ BODY COUNT DATABASE http://www.iraqbodycount.net/ http://www.iraqbodycount.net/bodycount.htm Casualty figures are derived solely from a comprehensive survey of online media reports. Where these sources report differing figures, the range (a minimum and a maximum) is given. All results are independently reviewed and error-checked by at least three members of the Iraq Body Count project team before publication. I hope you find that that my research exceeds your expectations. If you have any questions about my research please post a clarification request prior to rating the answer. I welcome your rating and your final comments and I look forward to working with you again in the near future. Thank you for bringing your question to us. Hello madcoweater, I think the only way you can do this is to search "Google News" For example today (Thursday 17th April) "Iraq says at least 600 civilians have been killed and more than 4,000 wounded since the war began on March 20" http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/200304/17/eng20030417_115327.shtml The kind of search you should use is: "civilians have been killed" iraq http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&scoring=d&as_qdr=all&q=%22civilians+have+been+killed%22+iraq+ Does this help? Best regards THX1138 |
